Wah Leow EH!

6 more working days to ORD!

And I almost got charged. Haha. But I was accused by someone (who hates me) for something I did not do. And this person (obviously not an NSF) brought heaven and earth down to try his utmost best to kill me.

And I emerged unscathed. :)

I must thank my two guardian angels (not NSFs also, but people of substantive rank) for supporting my stand.

You see, to sum this incident up, as I am Dept IC, I was held responsible for this incident. Either I give a name up, or I die.

And I must thank the investigative officer who gave me a chance to state my stand and eventually agreed with me.

And lo and behold, it was satisfying that the person responsible admitted to the act, and he was not from my Dept, so the person leading the witch hunt against me had it backfired. Cool right?

Anyway, problem settled, and I'm numero uno! Whee.

And today I talked with AC. I don't want my blog to get tagged on a search engine, so to put it simply, this rank is 4th from the top. Still don't know, go visit the force website.

Ya, anyways, he was in my office looking for my boss as usual. Then while waiting for her to finish talking to someone, he waited outside, where I was minding my own business. And he saw my biking mag.

I didn't know he was a biker too. Cool ah. He owns a GT Avalanche. Everything's custom except for his headset and saddle. Then he asked me what bike I was using. I told him my specs.

He then told me that his previous fork (a Suntour XCM) failed just this September. It caused him to fall, and he had a large gash on his leg, tearing a vein or something. And now he replaced it with a Fox Talas (drool). And I'm using the same fork (Suntour XCR 08) as his previous one.

Whoa. Fierce. His Fox fork is probably worth my drivetrain and wheelset combined. And well, I'm heavier than him, and probably not as skilled, so if my fork were to fail like his did, I think I'll be in deep deep shit. And I won't have the medical coverage I have now in cd.

But of course, he did say that he only goes to Bukit Timah and Ubin. So I guess my fork won't fail anytime soon la. I can't do the jumps that are at BT and I certainly don't have his fitness level, so count me out of the never ending climbs at Ubin.

Ah, I ramble. All I know is that for a super high ranking appoinment holder in cd, he is very approachable and friendly. Not to mention he seems rather young. Ah, a high flyer who still rides his GT Avalanche, even though he probably has the cash to buy a carbon fiber full-sus bike.

I really respect him, and perhaps 20 years from now, I too would have made it, drive my Audi R8 around, but still ride my humble Giant hardtail, repalced with a Fox Talas 2028 edition. Lol.

ORD!! Woo hoo!
